Rain Natural Skincare… natural, plant-based skincare and holistic nutrition that has changed my skin & health (inside & out)!
Because I believe in transparency… this is my mother, Lorraine Crowe’s, company, and I am the proudest daughter. She started Rain Natural Skincare in the kitchen of our Yoga and Pilates studio when we were co-owners. She started out making skincare products for aging skin, and I was going through some health and skin issues that required me to clean up everything; from my nutrition to my products to my habits. Read on for how this natural skincare solution helped change my skin, and many other’s skin, from the inside out.

My Personal Experience using Rain Natural Skincare
I have always struggled with skin issues. Acne plagued my youth and made me embarrassed to be seen without makeup on. I started using a prescription cream in my teens that cleared up my acne but did weird things like bleach-stain face cloths and towels due to the blend of chemicals, made my skin sensitive to the sun – even more than it naturally is, dried out my skin, etc.
At the time, I was more concerned by the fact that my acne was gone than the toxic chemicals I was absorbing.
In 2015, I decided I was going to go off the birth control pill, as that was another medication I had been on for many years (the doctors also recommended that to help clear up my acne, so I was on the pill from the time I was a teenager). But, what I predicted would be an easy transition to getting my natural menstruation process again, instead turned into 4 years of doctor’s appointments, blood testing, ultra-sounds, frustration, fear that I would never be able to get pregnant if we decided we wanted to have children, and quite frankly, fear that something was wrong with me…
In the fall of 2018, my skin broke out as I had never seen it before. Even in my youth, it had never been as bad as it was that fall/winter. I had purple-ish cystic acne all over my chin and cheeks, my digestion was horrible with uncomfortable bloating and gas after eating, and I was embarrassed to go in public and even make eye contact. Although I led what I believed to be a healthy life, I looked and felt unhealthy, and I was ashamed of my skin.
In November 2018, my mother (Lorraine Crowe, creator of Rain Natural Skincare) helped me set up an appointment with a Naturopath who put me on the path of liver cleansing, acupuncture, calendula and lavender face steams, castor oil packs, and more. My mother helped me clean up my diet and nutrition by providing me with meal plans and recipes that are so delicious and easy to make, as well as helping me clean up the products I use by making me plant-based skincare products designed for my sensitive, acne-prone skin.
By April 2019, I had my period again for the first time in 4 years, my skin was clear and bright, my digestion was normal and stopped bothering me, and I felt confident, happy, and truly healthy for the first time in a long time.
I have since stopped using my prescription cream altogether, as well as any off-the-shelf skincare products, such as cleansers, etc. I only use Rain Natural Skincare, and I won’t go back to using anything else.
Not only do her products smell and feel amazing, but I honestly believe in their healing benefits, from the outside in.
Think about how many chemicals you likely are exposed to on a daily basis: from everything in your cleaning supplies to everything in your makeup drawer, and everything in between.
